PVHS Basketball Team Recognized by School Board
Members of the team were recognized for their season, which included a PAC-10 Division Championship win over rival Methacton.
The Perkiomen Valley School Board recognized the Perkiomen Valley High School Basketball Team at its Monday night meeting.
"The Perkiomen Valley School Board will honor the members of the 2012-13 Perkiomen Valley High School Boys Basketball Team for winning the PAC-10 Championship this year," said board member Lynn Bigelow. "The team beat defending league champion Methacton 44 to 41 for the championship, which is the district’s first for basketball in the last 10 years."

Rasaan Stewart, Purnell Willson, Marquise Ray, Steve Leonard, Mekhi Clemons, Kyle Charlton, Brandon Wright, Brett Davis, Tom Patterson, Tyler Krause, Tom Friel, Dan Light, Cory Hunter, Mike Formica and Darrell Philpot were recognized as players on the team.
Coach Mike Poysden, assistant coach John Boyd, Mike Buczkowski, George Courides and Mike Murphy were acknowledged by the board for their work with the team.
