PVHS Students Holding Autism Fundraiser at American Barber Co.
'Banding Together for Autism' will showcase local student talent at the Collegeville barber shop and music venue, while raising money for the Variety Club.

Two Perkiomen Valley High School students are “Banding Together for Autism” with an event on Saturday at the American Barber Company in Collegeville, which will showcase local student talent while raising money for autism through the Variety Children's Charity.
Meghan Fulop, daughter of Bryan and Jill Fulop, and Rachael Nielson, daughter of Poul and Rosemarie Rapisardi Nielsen, and American Barber Company owner Steven Krauss, are coordinating the event, which will showcase talent from students through jazz, Broadway, rock, lyrical, folk and original compositions performances.

Two shows will be presented - one at 5 p.m. and one at 8 p.m. at the American Barber Company, located at 323 E. Main Street in Collegeville.
“It promises to be an evening full of entertainment, accompanied by food and basket raffles,” said organizers.

Tickets will be sold at the door 30 minutes in advance – the cost is $7 for adults, $5 for students.
According to the Variety Club website, the national non profit “empowers local kids who are disabled and disadvantaged to live, love and learn” through core programs, including aiding children with physical challenges, helping children who are disadvantaged, and through local initiatives, including the autism program and the Variety Club Camp in Worcester.
The money will support the one in 88 children who have been identified with Autism Spectrum Distorder (ASD). For more information on Variety's Autism Program, click here.
