PVHS Tests Above Average, Misses U.S. News Ranking
The Perkiomen Valley High School is not ranked, according to the U.S. News and World Report.

While Perkiomen Valley High School is not officially ranked statewide or nationally, the school performs above the Pennsylvania average, and has similar numbers to several local schools in most categories, according to U.S. News and World Report.
According to the publication, the total enrollment at the high school is 1,733, 14 percent of which are minorities and nine percent are economically disadvantaged.

There are 105 teachers in the school, making the teacher-to-student ratio 17 to one.
According to Pennsylvania System of School Assessment (PSSA) test scores, 18 percent of students rank basic or below in reading; 82 percent rank proficient or advanced, according to the report.

In Math, 26 percent of students are ranked basic and below, and 74 percent are ranked proficient and advanced.
The report states that 48 percent of students participate in Advanced Placement (AP) courses, with a passing rate of 77 percent.
Perk Valley's college readiness index, evaluating how well students are prepared for college-level work, is 40.
“Good schools challenge students academically, while giving them ample opportunity to explore their interests,” said a U.S. News article.
While PVHS beats out nearby school districts such as Souderton and Plymouth Whitemarsh, both of which are ranked above 40 in the state, in college readiness index, it lags in proficiency in math – 86 percent of Souderton students are proficient in math, 83 percent of Plymouth Whitemarsh students.
On other ranking sites, such as SchoolDigger.com, PVHS is ranked 70 in Pennsylvania.
