Repeat Break-ins Reported in Trappe

Copper piping was stolen from the 100 block of Main Street, police say.

 

Homes on the 100 block of Main Street in Trappe Borough were broken a total of three times in the month of April, and copper piping was stolen from the basement, according to the Pennsylvania State Police.

As previously reported on Patch, individuals allegedly tried unsuccessfully to break into 133 W. Main Street between April 11-13, but did gain entrance to 135 W. Main Street, both of which were owned by a Boyertown man. No items were reported stolen at the time, according to the police.

Between 2 p.m. on April 19 and 11 p.m. on April 28, individuals gained entrance to one of the homes by breaking out a window on the rear door, police said. They then allegedly broke into a second house and cut copper piping from the water heater and boiler in the basement of the property.

These incidents are under investigation.
