Residents Flock to Perkiomen Community Day

Face painting, caricatures, live music and community groups were among the highlights of Saturday's gathering.

 

Perkiomen Township Residents had an afternoon of fun Sunday when the Township put on its annual community day at the municipal building on Trappe Road.

Township Supervisors Gordon MacElhenney, Dean Becker, Richard Kratz, Janet Heacock and William Patterson were on hand to serve up hot dogs and other treats, while local community offices provided information and emergency service groups showed off apparatus.

There were plenty of activities for children such a caricatures, face painting, juggling, balloon animals,  a dunking booth sponsored by the Boy Scouts Troop 105, students with the Perkiomen Valley Interact Club manned a moon bounce, and the Perkiomen Township Fire Company provided a water activity for children.

The Big Bank from the Valley was also on hand to perform for guests.
