SCI Graterford Inmate Found Hanging in Cell
Albert Brown was serving a sentence for involuntary deviate sexual intercourse.

inmate Albert Brown, 64, was found “unresponsive hanging in his cell” around 6:15 a.m., according to a press release from the Department of Corrections.
“Officers provided immediate emergency first aid until facility medical personnel arrived to continue CPR,” the report continues. He was pronounced dead at 7:03 a.m.
Brown had been at Graterford since 1983; he was serving a 15 to 40-year sentence for involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and other charges, according to the press release. He was convicted in Philadelphia County, according to the report, but it wasn't stated where Brown resided prior to his incarceration.

His next of kin have been notified, the statement reads. In accordance with Department of Corrections policy, the have been notified and will conduct an investigation, the report states.
