Shoppers Hit Sidewalks for Skippack Days

Organizations, local businesses set up shop for annual event.

Despite this weekend's plunge to fall temperatures and bursts of rain, bundled-up crowds still turned out in full force for the annual Skippack Days.

Once again, village vendors and other area sellers set up stalls and flung open store doors to shoppers on the hunt for crafts, fall and Christmas decorations, jewelry, clothes, sports memorabilia, home decor and other items. Food stands and bands entertaining the crowds with live music also dotted the stretch of Skippack Pike/Route 73. Many vendors offered customers warm smiles despite being chilled by outdoor temperatures. Attendees also remembered good manners as they made their way down the crowded sidewalks, even exchanging the latest info about Sunday's Eagles game.
