Skippack Restauranteur Expands Business to Ambler
La Villa Mexican Grill owner Rene H. Zepeda opened El Jefe in Ambler, offering traditional Mexican food in a different atmosphere.

Owner Renee H. Zepeda of La Villa Mexican Grill in Skippack has expanded his business into Ambler, where he opened El Jefe this month, a quick-serve Mexican restaurant.
The restaurant, located at 9 N. Main Street, is much different than his Skippack village spot; compared to linen napkins and $20 dinner entrees in Skippack, guests in Ambler can enjoy quick $2.25 tacos, or other traditional fare such as burritos, floutas, quesadillas and enchiladas eaten along the wall of the business.
Prior to opening, Zepeda faced a legal battle over the naming of his restaurant, which he planned to call Taco Feliz.

"We never wanted to confuse people," Zepeda told Philly.com. "We just want to serve good food."
