Youth Fishing Derby Day Planned for Saturday on the Skippack Creek

State representatives Marcy Toepel and Mike Vereb invite local families to attend their joint Youth Fishing Derby on Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon on the Skippack Creek.

The event will be held on Skippack Creek Road near the horse trailer parking lot, according to Toepel.  Fishermen under the age of 15 do not require a license. Those 16 and older do require a license.

Entertainment and refreshments will be provided at the free event, and several prizes will be distributed, including a grand prize of four tickets and a parking pass for the Philadelphia Phillies v. the Cincinnati Reds on May 17.
