The zoo has kept the birds indoors as a precautionary measure to limit the spread of the Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI), also known as bird flu. Staff will continue to monitor the presence of HPAI in wild birds ahead of the fall migration, while also making modifications to existing outdoor exhibits to ensure a safe return. (PhillyVoice.com)
