Deadly Double Shooting Lands Consecutive Life Sentences For Gunman

PHILADELPHIA — A conviction has been secured in connection with a deadly 2023 shooting in Philadelphia, according to the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office.
Authorities said Sabir Bunch, 29, was convicted of first-degree murder in connection with an Aug. 3, 2023, shooting in the Olney section of Philadelphia. He was also found guilty of firearm violations, possession of instruments of crime, trespassing, and criminal mischief, authorities said.
Bunch was sentenced to two consecutive life sentences plus a consecutive 19.5-39 years incarceration.

When police arrived, they found Chisholm with multiple gunshot wounds throughout his body.

Officers were then directed to 5953 N. Third Street, where they found a second victim, identified as Gary, who was also fatally shot with multiple gunshot wounds to his back.
Investigators said Gary was at the Albert Einstein Medical Center before the shooting with Bunch. Chisholm drove to the same hospital and brought Bunch back from the hospital to his home on the 5900 Block of North Third Street, followed by Gary.
At the house, video showed Bunch getting out of Chisholm's car, armed with a gun, which he tried to hide. After the two go into the house, video footage showed Gary pulling up to the home on a motorcycle.
Around 7:30 p.m., gunshots could be heard inside the house. Chisholm ran out of the house and collapsed on the ground across the street. Video showed Bunch leaving the rear of the house and hopping over neighboring fences before fleeing the area.
About an hour and a half later, police were called to 428 W. Spencer St for a burglary. Officers learned a man kicked in the back door of her property and fled out of the front door. Officers found Bunch, shirtless and hiding behind bushes outside the property. His clothing was recovered and later tested positive for gunshot residue, along with other relevant evidence.
