$150K Worth Of Beef Stolen In South Philadelphia: Report
This marks the first large-scale food theft in Philadelphia since "Operation Beef Bandit" nabbed four Philadelphia men for stealing foods.
PHILADELPHIA — Back in March, Philadelphia Police thwarted a beef heist from a delivery vehicle in South Philadelphia, but no arrests were made.
Now, police in Philadelphia have a new meat heist to investigate.
According to NBC10, $150,000 worth of beef was stolen from a tractor trailer parked on the 1400 block of Warfield at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.

The outlet reports 10 full pallets and another half pallet of beef were stolen.

In July 2024, 400 cases of beef valued at about $15,000 were stolen from a truck at South 63rd Street and Eastwick Avenue.
Then, in August 2024, a tractor trailer parked on South Lawrence Street in South Philadelphia was robbed of tuna it was hauling.
In September 2024, New Jersey authorities took four Philadelphia men into custody in what they called "Operation Beef Bandit."
The four stole meat, seafood and alcohol from trailers parked at service areas along the New Jersey Turnpike, New Jersey State Police said.
