$2.7K In Eqipment Missing From PennDOT Maintenance Center: PSP
Authorities said 12 pieces of equipment, such as blowers and trimmers, are missing from a PennDOT maintenance facility in Philadelphia.
PHILADELPHIA — More than $2,700 worth of equipment is missing from a PennDOT facility in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania State Police said.
Troopers were called to the facility on the 1900 block of Ruffner Street the morning of June 17.
There, the discovered a dozen missing pieces of equipment and tools.

Stolen were:
- Husqvarna Trimmer — $219
- Backpack Blower — $476.60
- Stihl 18' Trimmer — $260
- Trimmer — $250
- Stihl Hedge Trimmer — $393.50
- Stihl Weed Trimmer — $199
- Stihl Weed Trimmer — $400
- Oil Filter Wrench — $11
- Hvac Snip Set — $29.86
- Control Arm Bushing — $302.95
- Vice Grips — $69
- 16' Chain Saw — $168.50
State Police said the missing equipment was found during a routine annual inventory audit.

A PennDOT employee discovered several tools were unaccounted for.
He told police reported that it was unclear whether the tools had been stolen or misplaced, noting that staff absences and the lack of a formal sign-out system could account for their whereabouts
