2 Charged In Philly, Montco Armored Truck Robbery Incidents

Dante Shackleford, 26, and Mujahid Davis, 24, both of Philadelphia, have been federally charged in connection with four robbery incidents.

PHILADELPHIA — Two Philadelphia men have been federally charged in connection with robberies and attempted robberies of armored trucks in 2025.

United States Attorney David Metcalf said Dante Shackleford, 26, and Mujahid Davis, 24, both of Philadelphia, have been charged by superseding indictment with four counts of robbery interfering with interstate commerce.

Davis is also charged with two counts, and Shackleford one count, of using, carrying, and brandishing a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence.

Authorities said the charges stem from a July 2, 2025 Brinks truck robbery in Philadelphia; an attempted robbery of a Brinks truck in Philadelphia on July 15, 2025; an attempted robbery of a Brinks truck in Elkins Park on July 22, 2025; a Brinks truck robbery on Aug. 12, 2025 in Elkins Park; and an attempted Brinks truck robbery in Philadelphia on Oct. 3, 2025.

The superseding indictment alleges that they participated in the following crimes:

If convicted, Shackleford and Davis face maximum possible sentences of life imprisonment. Davis also faces a fine of $1.5 million, and Shackleford a fine of $1.25 million.
