2 NJ Brothers Killed When Car Plunges Off I-95
Police said a Mazda carrying four brothers from New Jersey was racing another car when the crash happened.

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Two brothers were killed and two others are in critical condition after a car plunged off Interstate 95 in Philadelphia and onto the street below, according to state police
Police said a Mazda was traveling north on I-95 around 8:10 p.m. Friday when the driver lost control near mile marker 25.5 and somehow left the roadway. The Mazda then went through a guardrail and overturned multiple times before coming to a stop on Castor Avenue below the interstate.

According to state police, the Mazda's occupants were four brothers from New Jersey.
The two rear passengers, ages 18 and 22, were not wearing seatbelts and were ejected from the vehicle. One was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other died at a nearby hospital.

The driver and front seat passenger, ages 18 and 23, were taken to nearby hospitals in critical condition, police said.
Witnesses told police the Mazda was racing a Dodge Challenger on the interstate before losing control and crashing. A puppy riding in the rear passenger compartment of the Mazda was also ejected in the collision and was found dead.
Nearby roads were closed following the crash but have since reopened.
The crash remains under investigation.
