3 Officers Injured As Driver Tries To Flee Traffic Stop In Philadelphia, Reports Say
The driver, who police said appeared to be under the influence, pulled away while one officer's arm was still in his car, reports said.
PHILADELPHIA, PA — Three Philadelphia police officers were injured early Thursday when a driver tried to take off after police pulled him over, according to reports.
Police pulled the driver over about 3 a.m. because they believed he was driving under the influence of alcohol, NBC10 reported.
During the traffic stop near Kensington and Allegheny avenues, the driver took off with one officer's arm inside his vehicle, dragging the officer, ABC6 reported.

Police gave chase and when the driver stopped near B Street, officers started breaking the car's windows to get the driver out of the car, the NBC report said.
The officer who was dragged suffered minor injuries, the ABC6 report said. A second officer suffered cuts from breaking the windows, that report said.

The third officer was injured as several officers worked to get the driver out of the car, the NBC report said.
Two of the officers declined medical treatment, but one officer was taken to a hospital, the reports said.
The driver was arrested. His identity has not been released. The investigation was continuing.
