4 Kids, Adult Shot At Philadelphia Rec Center Wednesday

The victims in Wednesday's shooting at 56th and Christian streets are 10, 11, 16, and 32 years old. One 16-year-old victim is critical.

PHILADELPHIA — Four children and an adult were shot Wednesday near a rec center in Philadelphia.

Police said the shooting happened at about 4:05 p.m. at 56th and Christian streets near the Christy Rec Center. Police said about 75 people were in the rec center's pool when the shooting happened.

Shot were a 10-year-old boy, an 11-year-old girl, two 16-year-old boys, and a 32-year-old man, police said.

The 10- and 11-year-old kids are in stable condition at CHOP.

Police said one teen is in stable condition, while the other is in critical condition. Both were taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center.

The adult, a city worker, suffered a graze wound to his hand and is in stable condition.

No arrests have been made, and no motive has been identified.
