Body Found In Schuylkill River Tuesday Evening: Police

A man's body was found in the Schuylkill River early Tuesday evening near the 3400 block of South 26th Street.

PHILADELPHIA — Police in Philadelphia have launched an investigation after a man's body was reportedly found in the Schuylkill River Tuesday night.

The discovery was made at about 5:48 p.m. on the 3400 block of South 26th Street, police said..

Emergency responders showed up and found the body, pulled it from the water, and pronounced the man dead at 6:37 p.m.

The victim was not identified.
