Chance The Rapper Coming To Philly On Sophomore Album Tour

The Chicago rapper's second album is coming out this month, more than six years after his first album dropped, and he's going on tour.

PHILADELPHIA — Grammy-winning hip hop artist Chance the Rapper's second album is coming out this week, and the rapper is embarking on a tour to support his sophomore release.

Chance the Rapper announced the "And We Back Tour" Monday that will support "Star Line," out Friday.

The Chicago native will hit 15 cities in North America, including Philadelphia.

Chance will perform at The Fillmore Philadelphia Oct. 1.

Ticket presales begin Tuesday, starting with a Citi presale and Verizon. General ticket sales begin Friday.

The new album "reflects Chance’s global journey, artistically, spiritually, and physically, over the past six years."

"Star Line" draws from Chance's travels to Ghana, Jamaica, and art fairs around the world, blending hip-hop, soul, and experimental sounds with lyrics on identity, resilience, and legacy.

The lead single, “Tree” featuring Lil Wayne and Smino, is out now and covers topics such as cannabis justice, racial inequality, and Black resilience.
