Chemical Attack In Philadelphia Leads To Search For Teen Boys

Philadelphia Police are looking for several teens after a woman was severely burned with a chemical in West Philadelphia on June 1.

PHILADELPHIA — Philadelphia Police are asking for help finding juveniles in connection with an acid on a woman that occurred earlier this month.

The attack happened at about 1:30 p.m. June 1 on the unit block of South 51st Street.

Police said the victim was walking down that block when a chemical was thrown on her.

The chemical caused severe burns to her face and body.

After the attack, the teens got on the Market-Frankford line at 52nd Street then got off at 60th street, police said.

She was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Video recovered from the area, including video from SEPTA, did not capture the incident.

However, the video did show three teen boys police want to speak with.

If you see these suspects, do not approach them and instead call 911 immediately.
