  1. The City of Philadelphia has apologized for experimenting on Black inmates at Holmesburg Prison from the 1950s through the 1970s. The apology came after activists and families of the victim demanded it as well as several other cities apologized for racist policies or wrongdoings.
    University of Pennsylvania researcher Dr. Albert Kligman conducted dermatological, biochemical, and pharmaceutical experiments which intentionally exposed about 300 inmates to viruses, fungus, asbestos, and chemical agents including dioxin, which is a component of Agent Orange.   2. Due to a crash, a car landed upside-down in a construction site in Philadelphia. The accident occurred in Fishtown at the intersection of Frankford Avenue and Oxford Street. The bizarre sight was shared all over social media. It is currently unknown if anyone was injured. (Subscription: PennLive)
  3. After a New Jersey shooting, a 20-year-old has been arrested in Philadelphia and charged. Michael Cruz of Plainfield was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force on Monday. Cruz shot David M. Buck around 6:30 p.m. on Sep. 17 in Plainfield. Buck was brought to an area hospital where he died of his injuries. (NJ.com)
