Here are the top three stories in Philadelphia today:
- Philly and its suburbs are officially under a Drought Watch. 36 counties, including Berks, Bucks, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia, are being asked to limit their water usage to 3-6 gallons a day. The state’s drought coordinator Susan Weaver says, “That way we can start practicing better water usage and be prepared for the future in the event that we don’t get the type of rainfall that we typically get in this area.” Weaver said. - A missing 13-year-old girl was last seen in West Philadelphia. As of Wednesday night, Makayla Thompson was last seen around 5:15 p.m. on Sunday on Master Street. She has black hair and brown eyes, and she was wearing gray shorts, a black t-shirt, and black Crocs. The police encourage anyone with information to call. (Patch)
- Philly EMT Kevin Pressley has been charged with exposing and photographing a 'semi-conscious' woman's breasts while she was under his care. Pressley's bail is set at $100,000.
