Fatal Shooting, Barricade Situation Ends With Arrest In Philadelphia
Police handled a barricade situation after a fatal shooting Thursday morning at a Northeast Philly 7-Eleven store.
PHILADELPHIA — One person is in custody after a deadly shooting and barricade situation in Philadelphia Thursday morning.
Police said a man was shot in the head at about 7:07 a.m. inside a 7-Eleven on the 6900 block of Torresdale Avenue.
The man was pronounced dead at 7:15 a.m.

About half an hour later, police were called to the 7000 block of Tulip Street after learning the shooting suspect was in the area.
Authorities established a staging area nearby as the man suspect barricaded himself in a property on that block.

Police at about 9:30 a.m. said a man was taken into custody.
Authorities have not released additional information on the incident as of 10:20 a.m.
