- A driver fled after hitting a woman who was lying on Philadelphia's Roosevelt Boulevard. According to investigators, officers were called on Monday to the 1400 block of West Roosevelt Boulevard at about 5:40 a.m. after a white vehicle heading westbound hit a woman who was lying on the road. The 21-year-old victim was taken to Temple University Hospital where she died about an hour later. The investigation is ongoing. (WPVI-TV)
- An FBI agent was shot in the leg when a weapon accidentally discharged at a Philadelphia courthouse. The FBI is investigating the shooting after a gun went off in the loading dock area of the federal courthouse in Philadelphia on Monday morning. As of the time of this writing, it is not clear if the agent shot himself, or if another agent accidentally discharged the weapon. (WPVI-TV)
- Chef Marc Vetri will bring a new pizza place, dubbed MVP, to the Wells Fargo Center. On Monday, Comcast Spectacor announced the chef's debut restaurant, which will be in the former Bistro stand on the 11th Street side of the arena. "I'm thrilled to be making pizza again and to be back inside an arena. We've spent the summer perfecting our fresh dough at Wells Fargo Center and can't wait to share the club level with some amazing leaders in the culinary space," Vetri said. (PhillyVoice.com)
