Fleeing Driver Crashes Into Philadelphia Home Tuesday: PA State Police

Pennsylvania State Police chased a vehicle early Tuesday morning and that vehicle crashed into a Philadelphia home, authorities said.

PHILADELPHIA — Two people are in custody after authorities said they led police on a chase in a stolen vehicle that ended when the vehicle crashed into a Philadelphia home early Tuesday morning.

Pennsylvania State Police said troopers in Philadelphia saw an orange Acura TLX confirmed to have a stolen license plate at about 2:05 a.m. Tuesday. The vehicle was also wanted in connection with a shooting, authorities said.

Troopers followed the vehicle and tried to traffic stop it on Lincoln Drive, police said.

The Acura drove off, prompting a chase that proceeded north on Lincoln Drive, then left onto West Allens Lane.

As the vehicle approached the end of West Allens Lane, it came to a cul-de-sac and crashed into the home at 1035 West Allens Lane.

Both the driver and passenger ran off into a heavily wooded area behind the home.

Troopers chased them into the wood, and eventually took the passenger into custody without incident near Cresheim Valley Road.

A second Trooper found and apprehended the driver after a climb through brush on Livezey Lane without further incident.
