Here are the top three stories today in Philadelphia:

  1. Authorities report a man was fatally shot outside his Philadelphia home over the weekend. Around 11:47 p.m. on Friday night, police found a 42-year-old man who had been shot multiple times on the porch of his home in the city's Summerdale neighborhood. The man succumbed to his injuries at the scene and was pronounced dead just after midnight on Saturday morning. In an attempt to identify the suspects, investigators are expected to review private surveillance footage as well as city-owned cameras. (NBC 10 Philadelphia)
  2. SEPTA, in partnership with mobile casino and sportsbook app betPARX, will offer Eagles fans free rides from the NRG Station on the Broad Street Line. The initiative launched after yesterday's matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars and will continue all season long. Prior to each home game, SEPTA will also run Sports Express trips every 10 minutes, departing from Fern Rock Station and stopping at select stations before ending at NRG. (NBC 10 Philadelphia)
  3. Philadelphia pet owners can get in the Halloween spirit for a good cause this October. Good Dog Bar will host its inaugural "Howlll-o-ween" Dog Costume Contest, sponsored by Tito's Vodka, on Wednesday, Oct. 26. Patrons are invited to dress up their furry friends while sipping on $5 Tito's cocktails. For every drink purchased, Tito's will donate $1 to the no-kill shelter facility Street Tails.
