Girl Hurt By Firework In Philadelphia Thursday

According to reports, an 11-year-old girl suffered a severe hand injury while playing with a firework Thursday afternoon in Philadelphia.

PHILADELPHIA — A young girl was injured while playing with fireworks in Philadelphia Thursday, police said.

The incident occurred at about 3:24 p.m. on the 1700 block of North Bailey Street, according to police.

First responders to the scene found the girl, 11, with a severe hand injury from the firework, according to Action News.

Medics took her to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, police said.

NBC10 reports she is in stable condition.
