Hot Dog-Eating Champ Joey Chestnut Downs 14 'Banana Dogs' At Citizens Bank Park

The Savannah Bananas tour came to the Bank Saturday, and the Harlem Globetrotters of baseball hosted a special guest: competitive eating legend Joey Chestnut.

Chestnut teamed up with Aramark Sports + Entertainment on Saturday night for a one-of-a-kind surprise culinary feat, setting a brand-new Banana Dog eating record during live game action at the Savannah Bananas tour stop.

What is a Banana Dog? It's a banana on a caramelized New England Roll with whipped cream, fresh sliced strawberries, and chocolate syrup.

In a surprise mid-game showdown, Chestnut downed 14 Banana Dogs in 3 minutes in right field during the fourth inning, bringing Aramark’s food innovation and fan-first entertainment to life in front of a packed ballpark crowd.

Chestnut out ate two members of the Man-Nanas, the Savannah Bananas Dad Bod Cheerleading Squad, who combined to eat just eight Banana Dogs to Chestnut’s 14.
