During the closure between Ridge and Fountain Green, southbound Kelly Drive will be detoured to Ridge Avenue, 33rd Street (U.S. 13), Diamond Drive, Reservoir Drive, and Fountain Green Drive. Northbound Kelly Drive will be detoured to Fountain Green Drive, Reservoir Drive, Diamond Drive, 33rd Street (U.S. 13), and Ridge Avenue.

While the other section is closed, southbound Kelly Drive will be detoured to Reservoir Drive/Strawberry Mansion, Diamond Drive, 33rd Street, Girard Avenue, 29th Street, Pennsylvania Avenue, and 25th Street to access Kelly Drive. Drivers heading north will be directed to use 25th Street, Pennsylvania Avenue, 27th Street, Girard Avenue, 33rd Street, Diamond Drive, and Reservoir Drive to access Kelly Drive.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work areas because significant backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Once the milling and paving operations are completed in late August, daytime lane closures will go into effect on Kelly Drive for inlet and manhole repair before final paving activities occur under a full closure.

The final paving will use an ultra-thin bonded wearing course to help seal the pavement surface, reduce water intrusion, and improve skid resistance.
