A man was rescued from the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia Wednesday morning, marking the second water rescue from the river in two days.
PHILADELPHIA — A man was rescued from the Schuylkill River Wednesday morning, marking the second water rescue on the river in two days' time.
According to Philadelphia Police, emergency responders were called to 3844 Falls Road at about 5:31 a.m. Wednesday.
There, a man was clinging to an overturned canoe and yelling for help, according to Action News.

Two police officers pulled the man from the river.
The man was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center by medics.

The officers suffered minor injuries from slipping and falling on rocks, NBC10 reports.
