Months-Long Market Street Closure Begins
Westbound Market Street is fully close between Second and Sixth streets due to utility work being done by the city, PennDOT said.

PHILADELPHIA — Westbound Market Street in Philadelphia is now fully closed through mid-November due to utility and road work, according to PennDOT.
PennDOT said the work, which is being done by the city, has forced westbound Market Street to close 24 hours a day, seven days a week now through Nov. 17.
The closure is in effect between Second and Sixth streets.

Drivers are being directed to use Front, Arch, and Sixth streets.
Eastbound Market Street is open to traffic during the closure.
