  1. The Philadelphia Phillies will be advancing to the National League Division Series. Their Wild Card Series sweep against the St. Louis Cardinals is the first postseason series win since 2010 for the team. The Saturday night 2-0 win against the Cards was in large part due to starting pitcher Aaron Nola's dominant 6.2 innings. The Phillies will now be playing the Atlanta Braves. (SI.com)
  2. The Philadelphia Museum of Art strike is an indication of a recent rise in "prestige" job tensions. Union organizers report that employees at The Philadelphia Museum of Art make about 30 percent less compared to institutions of similar size and budget. Despite the museum's $600 million endowment and $60 million annual budget, employees say they are struggling to pay bills and pay off student loans. (WITF)
  3. The Philadelphia Police Department is currently investigating a shooting that occurred in the city's Point Breeze section on Saturday night. Two innocent bystanders were injured when gunfire ripped through a home. The department does not believe that the two women were targets. There have not been any arrests as of Sunday evening.
