Rattiest Cities In US: Philly Among Nation's Top 10, Orkin Says

PHILADELPHIA — A new list from pest control company Orkin has Philadelphia ranked among the 10 "rattiest" cities in the nation.

Orkin recently released its list of the "Top 50 Rattiest Cities."

The company created the ranks based on the number of new rodent treatments performed from Sept.1, 2022, to Aug. 31, 2023.

Ranking include both residential and commercial pest control treatments.

With those statistics in mind, Philadelphia was ranked No. 6.

This is the same rank it earned in last year's list.

As for the rattiest, that honor goes to Chicago.

"Chicago continues its first-place run in the rat race, topping Orkin’s Top 50 Rattiest Cities List for the ninth year in a row," the ranking states.

Los Angeles moved up one rank to second, bumping New York down to No. 3.
