The National Weather Service said the record-breaking, 42-day streak without measurable precipitation ended at about 11 p.m. Sunday.
From Sept. 29 to Sunday night, no measurable precipitation was recorded in Philadelphia. The previous record was 29 days and set in 1874.

According to the National Weather Service, the highest amount of rain recorded in Philadelphia over the last 72 hours is 0.37 inches.
In Delaware County, 0.51 inches of rain were recorded in Thornton. Ambler and North Wales in Montgomery County saw 0.49 inches each.

In Bucks County, Warrington and Doylestown got 0.38 inches and Sadsburyville, Bucks County saw 0.59 inches of rain.
