Teen Girl Shot On SEPTA Platform Tuesday: Reports

A 17-year-old girl was reportedly shot in the leg on the platform of one of SEPTA's busiest transit lines Tuesday.

PHILADELPHIA — A teenage girl is recovering after being shot on a SEPTA platform, and authorities are looking for the gunman.

The shooting happened at about 1:10 p.m. on a Broad Street Line platform on the 1700 block of North Broad Street, NBC10 reports.

A 17-year-old girl was shot in the leg at that time and location.

Authorities found three spent shell casings at the scene and said the suspect is a black male in his late teens, standing 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall, with a medium build, short dreadlocks, according to Fox 29. He was wearing black shorts, a white tank top, and carrying a black Under Armour backpack.
