Best Restaurants, Bars In Philly Area Highlighted In New Ranking

PHILADELPHIA — At Patch, we love to talk about food and drink, almost as much as you love to read about them.

And now we're here to highlight some of the top restaurants, bars, dishes, chefs, pop-ups, retailers, cocktails, and more as listed in Philadelphia Magazine's "Best of Philly 2025."

The publication recently released winners in its annual list of absolute must-tries, as is tradition since 1974.

Each year, the magazine tweaks its categories, giving a fresh spin on the classic "best of" designations.

For example, this year's list features "Best Over-the Top Burger," which was awarded to the McDonald’s Money burger at Honeysuckle Restaurant.

Another fun twist is "Best Throwback Dessert." Loretta's Constellation Brownie — a homemade version of the beloved Cosmic Brownie from Little Debbie — won that.

The "Best Epic Dinner Splurge" was awarded to Provenance, located at 408 S. Second St. in Philly. Philly Mag called it "one of the most daring (and expensive) tasting menus in the city right now."

"Is it a marathon? Absolutely. But it’s worth experiencing for yourself," the publication wrote.

More traditionally, the "Best Martini" went to the Two Robbers’s "World-Famous Martini," made with Two Robbers’ vodka; dry vermouth from Philly’s Fell to Earth, and a house-made brine.

And winners in the suburbs got some love too.

Ambler's La Baja was named "Best New Restaurant, Burbs," Soho Sushi & Ramen in Royersford won "Best Suburban Sushi (and Ramen)," "Best Specialty Grocery Store" went to Euro Market in Broomall, and Omega’s Restaurant in Merchantville, New Jersey won "Best Take on a Cheesesteak" with the Ms. O’s Famous Jerk Salmon Cheesesteak.
