Woman Wanted For Deadly Philly Stabbing Captured In Europe
The U.S. Marshals Service Thursday said Gerelys Sanchez-Reyes was apprehended in Madrid, Spain in connection with a killing in Philadelphia.

PHILADELPHIA — A woman who was being sought in connection with another woman's death in Philadelphia was captured in Europe, according to federal authorities.
The U.S. Marshals Service Thursday said Gerelys Sanchez-Reyes, 29, was arrested in Madrid, Spain.
A warrant was issued for her arrest in the stabbing death of a 21-year-old woman who was found stuffed inside a futon on April 5.

Sanchez-Reyes is awaiting extradition back to the U.S.
The woman's body was found at about 12:39 a.m. April 5 at an apartment on the 4400 block of Frankford Avenue when police were investigating a missing person incident.

At the apartment, police found the woman's body wrapped in a sheet and shower curtain inside a futon.
The woman had stab wounds to her neck and torso, burn marks, and a flat iron cord around her neck.
Authorities did not find any weapons at the scene.
