  1. On Tuesday, viral sensation Ya Fav Trashman announced he is running for Philadelphia City Council. North Philadelphia native and former city worker Terrill Haigler, better known as Ya Fav Trashman, is hoping to win an at-large seat while running as a Democrat. He made the announcement during a community cleanup in North Philly in the neighborhood he grew up surrounded by family and friends on what was also his 33rd birthday. (AL DIA News)
  2. After months of voting and taste testing, Herr Foods has announced the winning ‘Flavored by Philly’ chip flavor. The Nottingham-based company, known for creating innovative snack flavors, launched Flavored by Philly — a line of limited-time chip flavors that only Philadelphia locals could claim as their own — and asked residents to vote on their favorite iconic Philly flavor. Over 11,000 snack lovers voted between the three finalists, Wiz Wit, Long Hots & Sharp Provolone, and (215) Special Sauce, and determined their favorite Philadelphia flavor is Long Hots & Sharp Provolone, submitted by Ryan R. of Philadelphia.
