Cocaine Found in Phoenixville Man's Home, Police Say

A Phoenixville resident has been charged with possession of a controlled substance following a search of his home last week.

A Phoenixville man faces multiple drug charges after police allegedly discovered cocaine in his home following a search, according to the Phoenixville Reporter.

According to court records, Muhammad Abdil Griffin Jr., 19, has been charged with one felony count of possession with intent, plus four related misdemeanor charges.

Phoenixville Borough police searched Griffin’s home on High Street on March 21, according to The Reporter, and discovered small packages in his pants pockets and closet containing a substance that later tested positive for cocaine.

Griffin was arraigned before Judge William Kraut on March 22 and has a preliminary hearing scheduled for April 29 before Judge Theodore Michaels. Bail was originally set at $100,000 but has been reduced to $50,000.
