Community Health Assessment: Survey For Chesco Residents

Health Department asked residents over age 15 to fill out survey to help the county improve health services.

WEST CHESTER, PA - The Chester County Health Department launched a community health assessment survey this week to assess the health and well-being of those who live, work, or go to school in Chester County.

The assessment, conducted every three years, creates an important opportunity to improve the health of Chester County residents.

The information collected will help identify community strengths, prioritize health needs, and guide the development of a community health improvement plan.

“The community health assessment is more than just checking a box,” said Jeanne Franklin, health department director.

“This is an opportunity for residents to let their voices be heard about what matters most to them. Survey results will help us achieve a healthier, more equitable Chester County.”

A goal of the department is to focus on issues and initiatives that the communities feel are important.

The survey takes a few minutes to complete and asks questions about demographics, health behaviors and issues that impact the overall health of Chester County communities.

This year, topics climate change and COVID-19 were added to the survey.

Anyone who is 15 years and older and lives, works, or goes to school in Chester County is encouraged to complete the survey between now and Nov. 6.
