Contractor Charged With Home Improvement Fraud In Chesco

Peter Kloufetos is accused of overcharging a homeowner for a bathroom renovation project that was not completed, police said.

NORTH COVENTRY, PA —A 43-year-old Gilbertsville contractor was charged with home improvement fraud for overcharging a homeowner for remodeling work that was not complete, North Coventry police said.

Peter Kloufetos remained free on $50,000 bail after being arraigned Thursday before District Justice John Hipple on charges of home improvement fraud and theft. A preliminary hearing is scheduled later this month.

A homeowner contacted Kloufetos, owner of All Inclusive Construction of Gilbertsville, through social media on July 2, 2022 to remodel two bathrooms, police said. Kloufetos quoted a price of $60,000 for the project and requested a deposit of $30,000.

When the project began a month later, police said, Kloufetos placed a Dumpster on the victim's property and requested another $15,000.

Over the next few months, Kloufetos charged the homeowner another $75,443.53, and the work in one of the bathrooms was not completed, police said.
