Fire Crews Handle Basement Fire in Phoenixville

First responders from Phoenixville, Kimberton, Valley Forge Black Rock and Upper Providence quickly took care of a house fire on Oak Street Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Phoenixville Fire Department’s Facebook page, units arrived to find smoke emanating from the house originating in the basement. The post says a water pipe burst and helped extinguish the flames.

The responding crews doused the basement to prevent any smoldering, and firefighters removed burned items after the fire marshal cleared the scene.

No injuries were reported.
