Free Paper-Shredding Event in Phoenixville
The community is invited to shred paper to prevent fraud and identify theft.
WEST CHESTER, PA —To help prevent fraud and identity theft, Chester County offices of the sheriff, prothonotary and register of wills are hosting a free shredding event operated by Wiggins Shredding from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 26.
Individuals may bring a maximum of four file-sized boxes of paper per car. Do not bring books, X-rays, binders or binder clips.
Participants may watch their materials being shredded.

Shredding documents helps prevent identity theft by destroying sensitive information that could otherwise be read or used for fraudulent purposes. All material is recycled after shredding.
Cars should enter at 501 Franklin Ave., Phoenixville, and exit the Center’s parking lot onto Fillmore Street.
