To celebrate the first day of spring, Rita's offers free water ice.
WEST CHESTER — Sunday is the first day of spring and Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard has announced the expansion of their annual 'First Day of Spring' water ice giveaway for an entire week, and you can get your free cup in West Chester.
The week begins Sunday, March 20 and ends Sunday, March 27. Rita's is located 323 E. Gay St.
Now referred to as the 'First Week of Spring' promotion, customers can enjoy a free cup of water ice any day next week after they download the Rita's app and create an account by Sunday.
On the app, users will be given a digital reward that can be used once for a free water ice.

Formerly known as Rita's Water Ice, the popular chain was founded in 1984 by Philadelphia firefighter Bob Tumolo. It was named after his mother,323 E Gay St Rita Tumolo.
