Health Inspections In Phoenixville Eateries In January

Chester County health inspectors found a few violations in restaurants in Phoenixville.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — Health inspectors paid visits to eight establishments in Phoenixville during the first two weeks of January.
Inspectors found some establishments in violation of health codes set by the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture.
See places inspected, and violations found:

Giant Food Stores, 700 Nutt Road, 9 violations on Jan. 18 including utensils store with contact surface exposed in containers, orange juice spilled on the floor, employees' drinks mixed with customers' food orders, coats stored on top of mop hangers, food prep surfaces not clean, ceiling vents covered in raw check vent room, grocery bags stored on the floor, food debris under donut station, and ice-like debris on floors.

  • Hong Kong Chef@ Giant, 700 Nutt Road, no violations.
  • Partners Creating Community Mobile Express Cart, 400 Franklin St., one violation on Jan. 18: food prep sink filled with sponges.
  • Neighbors Farm Stand, 200 Mill St., no violations
  • Liberty Square Pizza and Restaurant: 365 Nutt Road, one violation on Jan. 12, cardboard lining shelves in walk-in cooler.
  • Soko Bag, 95 Nutt Road, no violations
  • Samuel A. Whitaker A L Post 482, 600 Mellon St., three violations on Jan. 10, inside of microwave, cooler, and bar area need cleaning, chemical spray bottles need to be stored in a separate location, and no certified food manager.
  • TCHS Pickering, 1580 Charlestown Road, no violations
