Learn Boating Skills: America's Boating Club Valley Forge

Boating lessons are available this spring, beginning Saturday, March 11, and continuing through April.

VALLEY FORGE, PA — If you want to learn more about safe boating, America's Boating Club Valley Forge is offering a class to earn a Pennsylvania Safe Boating Certificate.

Courses this spring also include advanced boating, electrical systems on boats, marine navigation, and more.

All courses are U.S. Coast Guard-approved and open to the public.

Classes will meet at public schools in Chester County, and at Highway Marine in Quakertown and Clews and Strawbridge in Frazer.

ABC America Safe Boating:

  • March 11 - One session; Highway Marine, Route 309, Quakertown. Register via email to wrfbarrett@comcast.net
  • March 21 – Five Tuesday evenings; Downingtown Middle School. 115 Rock Raymond Road, Downingtown.
  • April/May (dates to be announced) – One Saturday session; Clews and Strawbridge, Route 30, Frazer. Register via email to wrfbarrett@comcast.net

Marine Navigation:

  • March 21 – Seven Tuesday evenings; Downingtown Middle School, DASD

Marine Electrical Systems

  • March 29 – Seven Wednesday evenings; Peirce Middle School, West Chester School District
