Man Arrested on Drug Charges After Alleged Altercation with Officer

Police say the man pulled a silver object from his pocket before being arrested.

An Eagleville man was arrested on drug charges after a back alley altercation with a Phoenixville Police officer in the borough last week, the department is reporting.

According to court documents, on January 9 at approximately 10:45 p.m., an officer saw Chris Lance Jones Jr., 20, duck into an alley on the 200 block of Church Street. The officer approached Jones and asked if he lived there, to which the man answered “no”, before attempting to brush past the officer and leave the alley.

The officer told the man to stop, but he headed west on Church Street. The officer repeated his request, but the man just turned and headed east on Church Street.
