Moose Donate Backpacks Full of Supplies to Barkley Students
Local volunteers help back to school even better for some Phoenixville students.
Members of the Phoenixville Fraternal Order of Moose Lodge made a special delivery to celebrate back to school week at Barkley Elementary School.
According to an announcement sent to Patch and a similar posting on the Moose Lodge's Facebook page, they dropped off the backpacks filled with school supplies donated by Moose Lodge members at Barkley.
"Due to our members generosity we were able to outfit half an elementary school class with 100% of their required supplies. A special thank you to Matthew Right for spearheading this initiative and Sandy Cooper for making sure everything fell into place. And to all our men and women of the Moose thank you for everything you do so that we can have a fraternal organization capable of doing these great projects. You make us so proud," the post reads.
