Power Out For 91 Chester County Customers: PECO

Tuesday's deluge resulted in several thousand outages in the Philadelphia region with less than 100 out today, PECO reported.

CHESTER COUNTY, PA —A total of 91 customers in Chester County were still without power Wednesday afternoon in the wake of Tuesday's deluge that dumped 2 to 4 inches of rain in the region, causing some minor flooding.

The outages bulk of the outages are in West Bradford and West Fallowfield townships. They are outages also in the city of Coatesville; and East Whiteland, Kennett, South Coventry Uwchlan townships, according to PECO’s power outage website.

There were 60 customers affected in Montgomery County; 56 in Bucks County; fewer than five in Delaware County; and 13 in York County.

PECO officials said crews are dispatched as quickly as possible to restore electricity.

If a PECO truck leaves the neighborhood without power being restored, the crews are still assessing the situation.

It looks like the severe rain is over for now.

The National Weather Service reports there is a 40% chance of rain this afternoon and a 20% chance tonight. Sunny skies are in the forecast for Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
