Ready For Their Close-Up
Here's what you didn't see on the Action News Friday night High School Huddle show.
The Phoenixville Phantoms Cheerleaders got the crowd fired up during Friday's home game against Pottstown High School.
They also got the votes fired up in the weeklong school spirit competition between the Phoenixville and Pottstown cheerleading squads. Thanks in part to hundreds of Patch readers who cast their votes for Phoenixville on Friday Phoenixville won that competition 55-45 percent. The online ballot also came down to the wire with the score tied at lunchtime on Friday. But in the end Phantoms fans rallied to give Phoenixville the win in the online spirit contest.
The Phantoms Cheerleaders recorded an open for the 6ABC high school football show which didn't make the cut during Friday night's late newscast on 6ABC/Action News. Click on the Patchclip video to see what you missed. (They ran a tiny little piece of the cheerleaders but featured Pottstown's cheer squad and mascot).
